GIJN Conference line-up
Gangs, pirates, politicians, football fixers and tax dodgers – these are just a few of the shady characters you will learn to expose at the Global Investigative Journalism Network’s upcoming four-day conference, beginning April 22 in Geneva, Switzerland. Other sessions will focus on investigating human trafficking and drug trafficking, as well as contraband tobacco’s link to terrorism. As always, the conference will include workshops on Computer Assisted Reporting, plus new business models for investigative enterprises.

Speakers include David Leigh, The Guardian’s executive editor for investigations and a producer of television documentaries; Klaus Ott, investigative reporter who covered the fall of Siemens; David Kaplan, director of the International Consortium for Investigative Journalists; and Montazer Al Zaidi, the Iraqi television correspondent known for th throwing his shoe at then-U.S. President George W. Bush.
